I got into facebook through a friend and boy did that change my life!! I was spending hours and hours with the games and applications developed by users. Its not my fault that the developers are so good at what they do. You can’t help it. Its fun! I was hooked on to Battle Stations, Mobwars, Warbook and most recently World Conquest.
Dare you risk it all?
World Conquest is similar to the board game Risk! and involves global domination. Yeah you heard it right! GLOBAL DOMINATION.
*insert evil laugh here*
What you do is you select a country to place your troops and slowly conquer each country by the roll of dice. Each country will be randomly occupied by other players and depending on how you place your troops you may be able to conquer the whole continent and even the WORLD!!!

Sorry ha..got a bit overexcited :P Last night I was playing World Conquest in a lightning round and once I placed my troops in Australia, I found that another player did the same as well. In response, the player who took the colour purple started barking orders at me in the chat window which is transcribed below.
purple : yellow (referring to me) get out of australia
purple : or i will kick you out
purple : Here is the deal if you get out and conquer a continent i wont attack it
jianchung : well.. we can either kill each other and let them take the other continents
jianchung : or work together n then kill each other later
purple : or better yet get out and go to europe
purple : and i dont bother you
I was reluctant to get out of Australia coz I had 2 regions conquered while he had 1 and obviously he didn’t want to back out so then I replied.
jianchung : ok lets kill each other then ;)
And here comes another guy…
grey : sounds like a plan to me ;)
So I proceeded to attack his troops and the purple started bargaining.
purple : yellow i gave you one more chance if you get out of australia and go to europe i will leave you alone
purple : listen yellow if you go to europe you get a continent and i get one and we can take grey and red out together
purple : your an asshole yellow you could have had europe
jianchung : chill dude its just a game
purple : yes it is but it is no fun to lose because of someones stupidity
jianchung : tralalalala
purple : you could have had europe i could have had australia and one of us could have one each but because of your stupidity neither of us has a chance
purple : yellow come on we still have a chance listen to me
At this point only 6 of his troops were left in Western Australia. My troops in Eastern Australia was wiped out.
purple : see was there any point to that?
But he didn’t realise I was planning to move my troops from India. I proceeded to decimate his army in Australia. He was wiped out after that and with red and grey next to him in Russia, he was really begging for mercy.
purple : red and grey since yellow was being stupid would you two kill yellow off for me and let me build my army again?
purple : red please have mercy and kill yellow off for me
Soon red wiped out purple and grey. I was the last remaining one but still managed to counquer Europe and Africa but was wiped out eventually. Before my demise, I congratulated red on a good game and to my surprise, he passed some comments before he gave me the killing blow.

red : Thank you. You also stayed alive for much longer than I would have thought in the beginning of the game when you were attacked…
I learnt two things from that game and I hope you did too.
Lesson #1
Don’t threaten others if you are not in the position to do so. Look at your own situation and the whole picture. Sometimes opening your mouth too much will result in your own loss.
Lesson #2
Its never the end until it really ends. Don’t give up until you have really tried. As Son Goku once said, “Tikus sebelum mati pun akan kentut (Before the rat succumbs, it will give a last fart).”
well analogy as to how humans behave sometimes. :) I guess sometimes, humans will always be humans.
