A few weekends ago, me, Munis and Tetek were headed down to Banting for a friend’s wedding. We were supposed to meet up with another fella – Jeeves in Seremban and spend the nite at his place. Somehow or rather, Jeeves was delayed a couple of hours which left the three of us time to kill. At that point of time we were already at the Tapah rest area. No point turning back to Ipoh, and its too freaking early to head down to Seremban or Banting. So we decided to take a “little” detour to Genting Highlands.
MUAHAHAHAHA.
By the time we arrived at Genting it was already 3pm. We haven’t had our lunch yet and weren’t dressed for the casino, so we changed in the toilets. Next we headed to good ol’ Burger King for lunch. My…my…those succulent burgers. It has been a while since we had them. BK burgers are so delicious and IMHO their fries taste much better than McD’s. PERIOD. It’s dumbfounding that BK can’t compete with McD’s in Malaysia.
Done with lunch at 4pm. We planned to leave for Banting at 5, so that leaves about an hour for the casino. We headed to the nearest casino we could find. Munis and Tetek were interested in the 3 card poker table and the dai sai table. I personally don’t really fancy all these card games. The only thing I play in casinos is the roulette. Its just plain randomness and luck. Nothing more. Theres no flush, no pairs and no memorizing of cards. Everything about the game of roulette is on the table.

No, that is NOT the actual Genting table!
I got my self colour chips for a hundred ringgit. RM100. Yes I know its a very small amount. Might as well don’t bet right? Kekeke I like ah, chui meh? With the 10 grey chips in my hand, I carefully monitored the banker for a few rounds before placing my bet. All of a sudden I had this gut feeling about the numbers 16 and 17. The numbers seemed to flash into my mind. Without hesitating I placed 1 chip on “16″ another 5 chips on the “BLACK” column.
The banker started the roulette.
The ball spun and spun and spun.
I had a very good feeling about the turnout.
The ball was slowing down.
I could almost see it falling into the 15-20 region. So close… I couldn’t look.
And the banker announced…
17 BLACK!!!
PKHKCCCB. Should have bet on 17. Never mind. I still made 50 bucks. Wahahaha.
My ling-gam should be right. The last time I followed my ling gam I managed to win 2nd prize for Toto. Muahahaha. The next round I continued with one chip on “16″ and 5 more riding on “RED”. A few more rounds ensued with no results from the number 16. I kept changing my color bets, alternating bewteen “RED” and “BLACK”. Surprisingly these bets gave me more wins than losses. Before I knew it, it was already 5.15. TIme for the last bet. 16 RED was my choice.
The banker spun the roulette again.
The same sequence of events followed. It was like deja vu.
Then the banker announced….16 RED!!!
WOHOOO!!!! 36 fold!! Muahahah. Plus 50 more from the RED!! Wahahah. I bought out of the table and proceeded to the cash counter. 500 bucks in total winnings kekeke.
It was a free trip to Banting for me. Later that night I bought the guys two rounds of Heineken after the wedding dinner. That day I learnt that I should learn to trust my ling gam. Its the closest thing anyone has to 6th sense. In fact, you too should do the same. Trust your good friend Linggam (not VK Linggam OK?). If you can’t trust Linggam, there’s no one else in this world that you can trust.
P/S: For those of you who are still confused about ling-gam… its your INTUITION, dummy!
