A colleague of mine forwarded an email on reading your fortune and personality from fingerprints.
The article is transcribed below.
Fortune & Personality Traits From The Tips Of Your Fingers
*Guys should examine their left hand while women should look at their right hand.

Check your prints!
Here are the two different patterns of circles and waves seen on every finger. To make a reading, look at your thumb print first, then your index finger, your middle finger, your ring finger and then your little finger in that order. This is the sequence that offers clues to your destiny & fortunes of your life.
We shall refer to circles as Os and to waves as Ws.

As Dorothy would put it, there really is no place like home.
I hail from a small town called Kuantan which is bestowed with a long stretches of beaches. The town of Kuantan is the capital of the state Pahang, which in turn is situated on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

Thats just about it. I can’t tell you anymore details about Kuantan because I know whack about it. Don’t ask me where to get the best bite in Kuantan because I wouldn’t know. My list of Kuantan’s best bites would probably yield a count of less than my 10 fingers.
Why? Haha that’s because as a kid I was not the type that hang out with friends. Most of my meals were taken at home where my ma would cook. So during my pre-university life I would most likely be classified as a NERD.
After Form 5 I spent most of my time studying and working away from home. Amidst my busy schedule, I would look forward to travelling home and spending some time in quiet little Kuantan. My home was my holiday villa, serene and peaceful. You’d be surprised how quiet it is.

A post on Planet Green recently highlighted the use of praying mantis as an alternative to pesticides.
This concept is not exactly new in the agricultural industry but has taken a back seat to pesticide usage. Reason being? Pesticides are much cheaper and easier to deploy than natural pests. Its just that simple. Agriculture in essence is a business and businesses talk about money. The less time you spend on the solution, the more monetary returns you get.
Now this post brought back some hypothesis which I made up back in 2004 when the tsunami hit Malaysia. We have natural predators to control pest population i.e. praying mantis for aphids, owls for rats but what about humans? What is controlling the human population? The answer is simple. Nature.

Yesterday as I was sifting through Treehugger posts recently, I found this post on a magazine called Wend.

The outdoor magazine @1/2 price
Wend is an outdoor magazine which is 100% committed to a sustainable lifestyle and is inspired by biking, kayaking, climbing and surfing. One of their rather interesting green initiatives is by selling their online edition for only half the price of the printed version. This month’s issue is offered free online.
Its really nice to see extra effort to promote green living. Green products are usually marketed at least 3 times the price of conventional products. Wend slashes their online price by half. I wonder if other magazines like Time, National Geographic or even FHM would follow suit?
P/S: I am very into environmental issues lately. Maybe I should write more about green stuff. Hmmm….
